Uttar Pradesh is one of the key states of India contributing about 8.1% to the country’s economy. With a population of 21.15 crores, it is the most populous state of India and about 59.5% of its population is of working age. The Government of Uttar Pradesh faces a major challenge of providing employment to this large working population. Intervention by the state in ease of doing business holds utmost importance, attracting investments for growth of industry and creating jobs for the population.
