Uttar Pradesh is one of the key states of India contributing about 8.1% to the country’s economy. With a population of 21.15 crores, it is the most populous state of India and about 59.5% of its population is of working age. The Government of Uttar Pradesh faces a major challenge of providing employment to this large working population.
